Abattoir
Located in two provinces, Gauteng and Mpumalanga, Daybreak Foods Abattoir’s Divisions consist of two plants. Both the Sundra Abattoir plant and the Delmas Abattoir plant are registered as high-throughput poultry abattoirs and have combined slaughtering capacity of 1,5 million birds per week. The Sundra Abattoir specialises in frozen and IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) products while the Delmas Abattoir offers the flexibility to produce both fresh and frozen products, inclusive of IQF. This dual capacity is achieved through two specialised sections within the abattoir post-chilling process.
